Submission Guidelines

(Please note that at this time, we are no longer accepting submissions.)

Submission Requirements:

  • The period for the work submission is July 10, 2006 - August 11, 2006.
  • A complete proposal must be received by August 11, 2006.
  • The submission should be original in content.

Submission Check List:

All proposals must include the following:

Digital Proposal Materials:
  • Design Services and Nondisclosure Agreement (to be provided by Architecture for Humanity and completed at start of work)
  • Proposal CD, including:
    • Four (4) to Six (6) digital design files (this should include proposals for both Site A and Site B)
    • Boards should provide an overview of your concept and should be designed to convey your idea to residents, the community review board, city officials, the press and others.
    • All dimensions, though not required, should be in feet.
    • Files should be sized 11in. x 17in at a resolution of 300 dpi in JPEG format.
    • All boards must include the following label information: The name of your firm, the name of your concept, and the words "Sponsored by Architecture for Humanity"
    • All files must be named using the following convention: NAMEOFYOURFIRM_1_BMH.jpg; NAMEOFYOURFIRM_2_BMH.jpg; etc.
    • Additional audio visual materials (such as animations, 3-D walk-throughs, etc.) are permitted. However, A/V equipment will not be provided for presentation.
    • Teams must submit all digital materials on one CD/DVD disc.
  • Proposal Submission Form

    Proposals must be accompanied by a completed proposal submission form (to be provided by Architecture for Humanity). All text should be in English.

PLEASE NOTE: These materials will be made available to funders, press contacts, volunteers, city officials, and others throughout the review process. Please prepare the materials as you would for any other client.

Physical Proposal Materials:
  • Mounted hard copies of the four (4) to (6) digital design board files listed above (to be brought to the design review weekend).
  • Model (to be brought to the design review weekend)
  • Models should be built at 1:48 (1/4"=1'-0") scale. (Please keep in mind that these models will need to be transported by plane and the size of the model with packaging should not exceed carrying on baggage allowances.

How To Submit Your Proposal Materials:

Digital proposal materials must be mailed to Architecture for Humanity’s must be received on a CD or DVD no later than August 11, 2006 at the address below:
