About the Campaign
“20 Centres for 2010” is the Official Campaign of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™. Its aim is to raise funds to create twenty Football for Hope Centres for public health, education and football across Africa. About the Centre
The Magalakwena Football for Hope Centre will support the community of Phola Park township and surrounding areas in Mokopane. Football based programs shall be utilised to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and Health and Life Skills Training, primarily aimed at the local youth population, seen as the most vulnerable and susceptible to external influence.
Land donated by the Magalakwena Local Municipality is ear marked for the new Football for Hope Centre which, will mark the beginning of a new community precinct. An active node for the promotion of sustainable community development.
