Dear New York, Architecture Community, Design Humanitarians & Friends –
The news is unfortunately true. Architecture for Humanity, Inc. has closed it’s doors after 15+ years. And though this is a sad moment for all of us, we would like to shed some light on this situation and reassure our members.
Architecture for Humanity, is a 501c3 parent organization of all chapters worldwide, started by Cameron Sinclair’s vision of “design like you give a damn”.
Our friends at Publicolor are looking for volunteers on Saturday, January 31st to join them for a fun day of painting and mentoring!
Pick up a paintbrush while making friends with NYC public school students. Volunteers will work with these students to transform their own institutional-looking school by painting them with vibrant colors that they’ve selected together!
As a volunteer-powered organization, the dedicated members of Architecture for Humanity New York are responsible for actively seeking out projects, funding, and opportunities to grow the organization and continue working toward achieving our mission.
Architecture for Humanity New York is looking for a Project Coordinator and Volunteer Team Members to kick off our first project of 2015!
These Our Treasures (TOTS) is a non-profit state licensed agency provided comprehensive early educational services for children with special needs to children ranging from infant to 5 years of age.

On Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, Architecture for Humanity New York is celebrating social impact, gorgeous design, and our amazing community of volunteers at our annual Holiday Party.
As always, but especially on Giving Tuesday, all funds donated for this event will be put towards Architecture for Humanity NY’s projects that provide positive social impact in New York City. Help us continue our great work by donating today!
On Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, Architecture for Humanity New York is celebrating social impact, gorgeous design, and our amazing community of volunteers.
We invite you to join us for a holiday event to celebrate this year’s accomplishments and prepare for the exciting year ahead. Festivities will include a firm vs. firm gingerbread house design competition, a gift raffle, seasonal refreshments, and more.
Our friends at the Lower East Side Ecology Center are looking for volunteers on Saturday, November 22nd to assist them in planting bulbs in preparation for spring!
The Ecology Center is located in the East River Park, a 59 acre public park in the Lower East Side. Architecture for Humanity NY volunteers will be working alongside volunteers from the LES Ecology Center and AmeriCorps.

The PS118 Teaching Garden team has been working to establish the objectives for the 4th Avenue Maurice Sendak teaching garden. Consensus has been gathered for planning through a series of feasibility studies, and are now moving towards a developed design package, which will include a site plan, planter designs, and phasing suggestions.
