AFH Office Architecture For Humanity Office Remodel Our new home is in the South of Market district of San Francisco. We're located on the second floor of a an old commercial building. We have nearly 5,000 square feet of open plan office space. As with everything we do, our goal is to make our new offices as open as possible to architects and designers interested in engaging communities in need and volunteering their time and their talents to those who might not otherwise be able to access their services.more... |

Kutamba AIDS Orphans School Village of Bikongozo, District of Rukungiri, Uganda The Kutamba Primary School is a community-based organization for the elementary education of children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Rukungiri district of Southern Uganda. In collaboration with Architecture for Humanity and the Nyaka AIDS Orphans School, Kutamba's parent organization and sister facility 48 miles away, the project will include the design and construction of a school facility including classrooms, offices, kitchen/dining, library, infirmary/nurse's space, and play space.more... |

Biloxi Model Home Program Biloxi, Mississippi Since Hurricane Katrina, Architecture for Humanity has been working on the ground in East Biloxi to develop a program to help families repair and rebuild their homes. Through a partnership with the East Biloxi Coordination Relief and Redevelopment Agency, the Gulf Coast Community Design Studio of Mississippi State University and others, we have been able to set up and secure funding to offer design services to a number of residents in the area. more... |

Guardians Institute New Orleans, Louisiana The Guardians Institute’s prime directives are to uphold the distinct cultural traditions of New Orleans, promote literacy and encourage physical well-being. These directives are met through conducting educational workshops for K-12 students in New Orleans to teach them the traditional art of beading and crafting Mardi Gras Indian suits, holding drumming, song construction and traditional dance lessons as well as conducting book club meetings. more... |

Bay View Model Block Project San Francisco, California Residential streets in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco suffer from urban blight, lethal gang violence, factory pollution, speeding cars, sewage backup and flooding, and disassociation with the rest of the city.
